Brookwood ninth graders further Spanish proficiency in spoken language contest
THOMASVILLE - On Friday, March 27, 23 ninth grade Spanish I students participated in the Virtual Spoken Language Contest sponsored by the Foreign Language Association of Georgia (FLAG). Students had a conversation in Spanish with a Georgia teacher/judge on Zoom that ranged from five to 15 minutes, and they talked about themselves, their friends and family, school schedule and leisure activities. The contest provided an opportunity for students to practice their speaking skills outside of the classroom and fostered confidence in their Spanish proficiency.
The following students received a superior rating: Thomas Beverly, Hutton Daniel, Ellie Godwin, Katherine Jones, Davis Ledford, Isaac Nunnally, Anna Charles Oppenheim, Jeremy Patz, Gracie Strickland, Oskar Thompson, Rodge Waldrop, Cole Warren and Camille Yarbrough.
