Tennis Boys & Girls Defeat Tiftarea, Both Top Region Standings
Brookwood Tennis finished its regular season in strong form Tuesday afternoon. The boys swept Tiftarea Academy to finish the season a perfect 10-0 overall. Strong showings from Nic Kadel and Alden Harrison at Singles secured two 6-0, 6-0 sweeps. Bradley Merschman and Ethan Myers won the deciding Doubles play point. The Warriors finish as regular season region champions and are the top seed going into next week's Region team tournament.
On the girls side, another strong performance on Singles courts by Abby Lee, Emma Szwarc and Sophie Thomas decided the match. Each of the three Lady Warriors playing Singles took care of business in straight sets. Riley Johnson and Camille Yarbrough also won at #2 doubles in a close match that was decided 10-8 with a third set tiebreak. The girls finish their regular season 8-2 overall and as regular season region champions. They will enter next week's Region team tournament as the top seed.
