Lauderdale, Boltja Set to Sign Letters of Intent on Wednesday

Congratulations to Jacob Lauderdale and Jack Boltja, both set to sign their National Letters of Intent this Wednesday to play collegiate athletics at Division I programs! The signing ceremony will take place in the Hall of Fame section of the Beverly Athletic Center and be streamed across campus for classmates to see.

Jacob '21 will sign to play Baseball at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina
and Jack '21 will sign to play Golf at Georgia Southern in Statesboro.

Jacob's junior season on the diamond with Brookwood was cut short due to the season being cancelled at the start of COVID-19. He has also been a top performer on Brookwood's football team. Coastal Carolina baseball has become one of the most consistent winning programs in the country, making the NCAA Tournament 16 times since 2001. Competing out of the Big South Conference, the Chanticleers have been rewarded with multiple Regional host sites, #1 seeds, and broke through in 2016 winning the College World Series with wins over Florida, Texas Tech, TCU, and Arizona.

Boltja and his Brookwood Golf teammates were unable to compete very long in a season that expected a State Championship run in the Spring of 2020. In September of this year, he won the Harris English Invitational at Glen Arven. Jack also is a starter on Brookwood's basketball team. Georgia Southern Golf has experienced strong success the last few years. Competing out of the Sun Belt Conference, the Eagles finished 4th out of 13 teams at the Stanford Regional in Palo Alto, California last year and qualified for the NCAA Championships where they finished 26th in the nation. In 4 of the last 5 seasons, the Eagles have finished 1st or 2nd in the Sun Belt Conference.
