Region Champions! Boys XC Takes 1st Place, Girls Take 2nd
Brookwood Cross Country had a strong showing at the GISA AAA-3 Region Meet on Saturday in Valdosta, with the Boys taking the region title and girls finishing as runner-up.
With Kent Grayson, only in 8th grade, taking first place overall individually and three other Warrior runners finishing in the Top-10 it was a dominant day for the boys. Nic Kadel, Zack Counts, and Benjamin Filston finished 7th, 9th, and 10th respectively to help Brookwood's team score.
The Lady Warriors took runner-up, with two Top-10 finishers in Katie Knifer with a 7th place finish and Peggy Boltja right behind in 8th.
The teams will travel to Macon for Saturday's GISA State Meet.
