Girls, Boys Soccer Take Down Deerfield-Windsor at Home

The Lady Warrior soccer team defeated Deerfield-Windsor on Tuesday night at home in exciting fashion, using penalty kicks to break a game that finished regulation tied 3-3. Jessie Wortman scored Brookwood's first goal, Caroline Miller tied the game at 2-2 with just under 11 minutes to play, and Holland Walker's PK with 2 minutes left in regulation put Brookwood even again at 3-3.

Walker, Ryan Gaston, and Mollie Vick all connected in PKs while Abby Jones made two stops in goal on Deerfield-Windsor attempts to give Brookwood the win in PKs.

In the Boys game, Griffin King's goal started the scoring midway through the 1st Half put Brookwood ahead at Halftime, 1-0. Two Spencer Richardson goals in the 2nd Half put the game out of reach for a 3-0 Brookwood win.

The Lady Warriors play at Region opponent Tiftarea tomorrow before both teams travel to Georgia Christian on Friday.
