Another success for Empty Bowls, Full Hearts

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
THOMASVILLE -  Each year, a group of Brookwood School students hosts Empty Bowls, Full Hearts: a simple soup benefit dinner. This year, students involved in the Student Government Association served bread and soup while asking for donations to benefit upcoming service projects at the Scott Senior Center and the Francis Weston YMCA. Students hope to build a butterfly garden at the senior center and provide artistic updates to the Weston Y, among other improvements at each site. The event held late last month has raised nearly $2,000 to support these projects, with donations still being made.
