Basketball Grounds Terrell Academy Eagles

Both the Warrior and Lady Warrior basketball programs were back in action Tuesday night after Thanksgiving Break, sweeping a home set in the Beverly Athletic Center against Terrell Academy.
 
In the Lady Warrior's win, Brookwood (3-1) led throughout holding big leads of 16-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 31-11 at halftime. Defense and rebounding controlled the game in the 2nd Half, ending with a 50-31 final score for the win. Christy James grabbed 8 rebounds, Holland Walker collected 5 steals, and Rayne Deese dished 3 assists.
 
In the Boys game, Brookwood (2-1) used a 21-9 2nd Quarter surge to take a 34-23 halftime lead. The Eagles closed the lead to 47-41 before a 6-0 4th Quarter spurt from Sam Barrett and Garrett Ledford put the game out of reach. The Warriors finished for the win, 56-44. Ledford and Harrison Owens led the scoring column, finishing with 14 apiece.
 
The teams host Chiles High School tomorrow. Girls tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. with Boys game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Lady Warriors Middle School Still Undefeated
Tuesday's win against Terrell Academy kept the Middle School Lady Warriors perfect on the season, now 8-0. Great job, girls!
