Warrior Football Starts Season with win over Westwood!

In a hard fought 14-7 win, the Warriors took the season opener at home over Westwood last Friday night. After falling behind in the 1st Quarter, the Warriors scored 14 unanswered points to secure the win.

Jacob Hilson's 2nd Quarter interception shifted the momentum and allowed the Warrior offense to march down the field to end the half. Landon Hall's 7-yard touchdown run just before Halftime sent the teams to the lockerroom tied.

Nathan Yokley's interception late in the 3rd Quarter stopped a Westwood scoring threat. The game-winning drive in the 4th Quarter was capitalized by a Marcus West touchdown run from 6 yards out with less than 5 minutes remaining.

The Brookwood defense was exceptional throughout, allowing only 48 yards of Wildcat offense and 3 first downs for the game.

The Warriors return to the field Friday night in Mayo, Florida against the Lafayette High Hornets. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
