Warrior Tennis Wins Region, Impress at Individual State!

The Warrior Tennis teams were impressive at last week's Region Tournament, as the Boys took another Region Championship. The Warriors qualified multiple players to the State Individual Tournament.

Jack Thompson and Andrew Cooper met in an all-Brookwood Boys Singles Championships for the Region, with Thompson winning and Cooper taking runner-up.

Alden Harrison and Nic Kadel won the Doubles Championship for the Region, while Taylor Huffman and Alex Kadel both qualified for the State Tournament as a Doubles team.

On the ladies side, Anna Stencel and Abby Lee lost in the Doubles Championship, taking runner-up.

All of those mentioned represented Warrior Tennis at the GISA State Tournament earlier this week.

At the State Tournament, Anna Stencel and Abby Lee won their 1st Round match against Heritage School (Newnan) before falling in the Quarterfinals of the Doubles Tournament.

In Boys Singles action, Jack Thompson made it all the way to the AAA Final Four. He was able to win his 1st Round matchup against Reid Bissell from Notre Dame and his Quarterfinal against Adam Elsharkawi from Frederica Academy before falling to Nikhil Nemani from William & Reed in the Semifinals.

In Boys Doubles, Nic Kadel and Alden Harrison also made it to the AAA Final Four. The pair beat a team from William & Reed in their 1st Round match and then a team from Westminster in the Quarterfinals before falling to William & Reed's top Doubles team in the Semifinals.
