In the first game of the evening, the Lady Warriors’ defense won a game of contrasting styles. Facing Southland’s slower-paced, half-court game Brookwood came away with a 47-39 win. An Erin Lewis made three-pointer gave Brookwood their largest lead of the game late in the 3rd Quarter, a 28-15 advantage. In the night’s final game, Brookwood needed an extra four minutes to down the visiting Raiders in overtime by the final score of 60-56. A back and forth first half saw the Warriors take a 23-16 advantage late in the 2nd quarter from working the inside-outside combination of Kurtis Brown and JP Chapman. A 14-0 Southland run spanned the closing minutes of the 2nd quarter and the first part of the 3rd to put the Warriors behind 23-30.

Brookwood switched to full-court pressure to flip momentum and it paid off. 8th Grader Garrett Ledford provided a spark off the bench early in the 4th Quarter. The lefty guard knocked down a game-tying three-pointer and followed it up in a matter of seconds with a steal and score in transition to put the Warriors up 42-40.
