Basketball Season Tips Off over Thanksgiving

With the Middle School seasons already a few games in, the Varsity Basketball teams get to take the court for their first set of games next week as Brookwood will host its first Thanksgiving Tip-Off Classic.

The Girls team, which returns 100 percent of its minutes played and points scored from a season ago, will be led by Coach Todd Webb in his first season. All-Region players Jordan Thompson, Holland Walker, and Mollie Vick return to anchor an impressive group with sights on the Region Championship and the GISA Playoffs.

For the Boys side, the Warriors should improve in their second season with Coach Drew Giudice. The Warriors will have size, rotating in four players at 6'3" or taller. The team expects to use this advantage in rebounding and on the defensive end of the floor. After playing with an inexperienced roster a year ago, the Warriors are a more seasoned team which will contend in Region and into the Playoffs.

The Thanksgiving Tip-Off will be in the Beverly Athletic Center next Monday and Tuesday, November 19th and 20th. Fans can get a sneak peek at future Warrior opponents such as the Deerfield-Windsor boys and the Westwood School girls. See below for a full schedule.
