Chapura headlines Postseason honors for Brookwood
THOMASVILLE – The Brookwood
Warriors Boys and Girls Soccer teams received
some postseason individual honors this week.
Harrison Chapura was named Region
and State Player of the Year after a dominant
season on the pitch.
The senior captain scored 41 goals, plac-
ing him second in the state, and posted 24
assists, leading the region and state in that cat-
egory. He finished with a total of 106 points,
ranking him sixth in the national ranks.
Kenji Sun, Will Stevens, and Mason Brun-
son earned All-Region and All-State honors
this season as well for Brookwood, and Jairam
Queen Jr. won Region Goalkeeper of the Year
and All-Region honors following his remark-
able season, allowing only 12 goals between
the sticks.
Wyatt Watkins, Sam Yokely, and JB Tin-
ney were also named All-Region as well.
For the girls, there were plenty of honors
to go around.
Gracie Moore earned Region Goalkeeper
of the Year and All-Region for her perfor-
mance guarding the net for the Warriors.
Klaire Von Hellens, Kami Sun, and Gra-
cie Musgrove were named to the All-State and
All-Region teams as well.
The duo of Von Hellens and Sun ac-
counted for 25 of Brookwood’s 57 goals this
season, and both were in the top 10 in goals
scored in GIAA 3A.
Georgia Rieck, Dylan Simmons, Pierce
Garland, and Sims Wetherbee were also
named to the All-Region team as well for the
Warriors.
