STEAM for all ages

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
THOMASVILLE - STEAM labs across all divisions on Brookwood School’s campus have been getting lots of action already this fall semester.

Lower School students studied the seed germination process of pumpkin seeds. After their seeds sprouted, they planted them in the butterfly garden in hopes that they will have pumpkins just in time for fall!

For their unit on taxonomy, Mrs. Hanke’s seventh grade science class did a classification lab that involved identifying and classifying different types of beans.

Physics students performed an experiment to determine if a motorized car travels at a constant speed. They took time and distance measurements to carry out calculations that determine if the speed remained constant.
