Brookwood will host its annual Thanksgiving Tip-Off on Monday and Tuesday, with visiting competition from five different schools across South Georgia and North Florida coming in. Each day consists of two Girls games and two Boys games, with matchups flipping on the second day For the Lady Warriors, they enter the second season under Coach Todd Webb. They bring a pressing, fast-paced style of play to the game with their full-court defenses.
The girls field features Westwood School, the back-to-back GISA Class AA state champions, as well as North Florida Christian from FHSAA and Chattahoochee County from GHSA Single-A.
On the boys side, Colquitt County comes in representing the largest classification in GHSA.
Chattahoochee County’s boys, winners of 20 games a year ago, play the Deerfield-Windsor Knights on Monday. The Knights are a region foe of Brookwood for the last time this year, having recently announced their coming transition to GHSA Single-A Private.
Headlining Monday’s slate is the final boys game, with Brookwood hosting Colquitt County in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. The veteran Warriors return three starters from last year’s region champions and feature six seniors.
