Ogden-Davis to coach Brookwood Cross Country

Brookwood School is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucas-Ogden Davis as Head Cross Country Coach

Lucas Ogden-Davis was born and raised in Texas. He played soccer in high school and rugby at the collegiate level at Rice University, where he majored in English and Sport Management. He worked as a fitness coach and personal trainer during his graduate studies at the University of Tampa, and opened CrossFit Manatee in Bradenton, Florida shortly after graduating with his MBA.

Ogden-Davis has served as a strength and conditioning coach for high-school athletes and Division I recruits in tennis, soccer, baseball, and golf. He coached cross-country and track at Antwerp International School in Belgium, and ran summer conditioning for the girls’ soccer team at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School in Florida. He currently coaches fitness classes for athletes of all ages and abilities at Thomasville CrossFit.

Athletic Director Shane Boggs notes, “I am excited about the vision Coach Ogden-Davis has for Brookwood Cross Country. His love for training and running will be evident to all.”

When he is not helping athletes perform their best, Ogden-Davis works as a web developer, creating websites and web applications for a variety of organizations and individuals. He is married to Kimberly Lord, Brookwood’s Director of College Counseling. He enjoys traveling, reading, and riding his bicycle around Thomasville.

Students and parents will have an opportunity to meet Coach Ogden-Davis on June 11 at 5:30 p.m. This initial meeting will be held in the Athletics Classroom of the Beverly Athletic Center.
