What is Brookwood's current tuition?
For the 2012-2013 academic year, Junior Kindergarten tuition is $3545.00; Kindergarten tuition is $6650.00; Grade 1tuition is $7,555.00; Grades 2-5 tuition is $7,960.00; Grades 6-8 tuition is $8245.00; Grades 9-12 tuition is $8,660.00.
What is the application fee?
The application fee is $65.00.
Do I need to visit Brookwood's campus? How do I arrange a visit?
A campus is visit is important to the admission process because it allows you and your family to see yourselves as part of the Brookwood community. We offer a wide range of visitation options, from individual visits to open houses. Contact the admissions office at 229-226-8070 to schedule your visit today.
What is the application deadline? When will I be notified of the admission decision?
March 1 is the priority deadline. Notification letters will be sent April 11. Complete applications received after April 11 will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space remains available.
What are the testing dates for Middle and Upper School applicants?
January 25 and February 21. Please call the admissions office to comfirm your testing date.
What costs are not included in the tuition?
Additional costs include a curriculum/materials fee, an activity/technology fee, lunch, and books in the Middle and Upper School.
Is financial aid available at Brookwood School?
Yes, Brookwood is committed to making its educational opportunities available to students regardless of their family's financial resources. Financial aid is a supplemental tuition expense. Funds for financial aid comes from private contributions to the school specifically designated for this purpose. Please visit our financial aid page for more information.
Does Brookwood offer scholarships?
Brookwood offers the William H. Flowers, Jr. Scholarship to new students entering the ninth and tenth grade. More information can be found in the Brookwood Blue Book. Brookwood does not offer athletic scholarships.
How old does my child have to be to enter Junior Kindergarten?
In order to enter Junior Kindergarten, your child must be 4 years old by September 1of the school year he or she is applying.
My child is in the wait pool. What happens now?
At Brookwood, we may not always have space for our qualified applicants. Therefore, we may have to place some students in the wait pool. If your son or daughter is in the wait pool, it is important to keep the lines of communication open. You will be notified as spaces become available. If, at any point, you decide to enroll your child in another school, please contact us so that we can remove his or her name from the wait pool.
Is transportation provided?
Currently, we offer transportation from Cairo and Brooks County for an additional fee.
