Middle School Girls tie record for wins
January 14, 2010

The Middle School Girls Basketball team, coached by Dave Hogan, tied the Brookwood record for wins in a single season.  In January, the team defeated Aucilla Christian, Southland, North Florida Christian, and Community Christian, bringing their overall record to fourteen wins and one loss. That was the record set four years ago by another group of athletes, also led by Coach Hogan, who now serve on the Varsity team.  The team has a chance to beat the record Friday, January 15th against Aucilla Christian at home.  Each member of the team is improving each game, and this has obviously shown in the team performance.  Eleanor Stubley, Madeleine Harrer, Vallie Smith, Savanah Singletary, Hunter Avera, Kelly Casanova, Maddie Eason, and Christy Quinton are leading the team; Eleanor is the leading scorer averaging about twelve points per game, Savannah the leading rebounder averaging about eight per game, and  Madeleine  is adding about six steals per game.  While the girls are having a lot of fun learning the game of basketball, the season is quickly drawing to a close.  There are only seven games left, and six of these are at home . Come out to support the Warriors and see this exciting team set the record.
