Easter Buddies
April 1, 2010

BUDDY BUNNIES - First graders at Brookwood School carried Easter baskets and wore their original, hand-made bunny ears Thursday morning as they filed outside to search for the 700 candy-filled plastic eggs hidden by their Upper School buddies. Brookwood seniors, along with a few members of the junior class, have befriended first-grade students throughout the school year with regular communication and special events. The Easter Egg Hunt was a hit with the youngsters, as they gathered enough goodies to last them through their upcoming Spring Break from school during the coming week.

A LITTLE HELP - Brookwood first-grader Elizabeth Rollins, the daughter of  Madeline and Raleigh Rollins of Thomasville, had some assistance at the beginning of the Easter egg hunt from her senior buddy, Dormarnique Moore, the daughter of Janice and Charles Moore of Coolidge.

GATHERING EGGS - James Farmer, a senior, the son of Mary and David Farmer, and Ethan Myers, whose parents are Nan and Greg Myers, took a breather from the egg hunt to count how many of the colorful oval plastic objects they had located.

NEVER ENOUGH - Meredith Attaway, the daughter of Kay Attaway, encouraged first-grader Aubrey Sawyer, whose parents are Stacey and Allen Sawyer, to add more eggs to her basket.

EASTER BUDDIES - The teenage buddies, who donned the floppy rabbit ears, gathered with the first-grade egg-hunters on the steps of Crozer Hall. Brookwood's Lower School students will enjoy a Field Day on Friday before the school closes for a Spring Break week.
