At Brookwood School, first graders have a "Buddy" who is a junior or senior. The high school students not only chat with the youngsters they encounter during the day on the school campus, but special holidays call for special attention and sometimes little gifts. The Buddy Program Valentine Exchange took place on Thursday before Brookwood's President's Day Holiday winter break, Feb. 11-15.

Will Bryant presented his mom Jeanna Bryant an early Valentine in his Brookwood kindergarten class. The Bryants are from Cairo.

JJ Williams celebrated Grandparents Day at Brookwood with his grandparents, Dayle and Roger Holleger, and his great-grandmother Carolyn Boyd, all of Whigham.
