Brookwood School Receives Reclassification Notice for 2010-2012
February 4, 2010

The Georgia Independent School Association has reclassified Brookwood School from AAA to AA.  The reclassification will enable us to compete with other schools in GISA that have similar enrollment, which is very good news for all of our students that participate in athletics, literary, and debate.
Over the past two years, our students, coaches, and teachers have remained competitive as they have been required to compete with AAA schools a great deal larger than ours, and have not allowed this inequitable classification to effect their participation or morale. We are proud of their Warrior spirit!
Reclassification is assigned every two years and we will continue to lobby the GISA to be sure that they adhere to their mission:

"To promote academic excellence among member schools; to promote, develop, direct, protect and regulate interscholastic, athletic, and literary relationships among member schools; and to stimulate fair play, friendly rivalry, and good sportsmanship among contestants, schools, and communities."
