In honor of Brookwood School's 40th anniversary, the entire 7th grade pre-algebra class constructed a 40-sided tetracontagon. "Each student designed a face or side, and we assembled it together," said math teacher Kyle Unglaub. Polygons are many-sided figures, with triangles, rectangles and squares among the most familiar examples. Thus, a 40-sided polygon is a tetracontagon. Brookwood School opened in 1970, and this academic year is its 40th.
