About the Brookwood Fund

Founded in 1970, Brookwood School's educational environment is dedicated to excellence in the intellectual and social growth of its students.  A handful of exceptional teachers and students paved the way for Brookwood School to grow into one of South Georgia's lead college preparatory schools.  This continued growth has been nurtured by fiscal, moral, and hands-on support of three generations of alumni, parents, and friends through the Brookwood Fund.  The Brookwood Fund, formally known as the Annual Fund for Excellence, provides an avenue to support daily life at Brookwood.  Your annual generosity, $50 or $5000, through the Brookwood Fund helps ensure the Brookwood experience is sustained for generations to come. 

Please know that your gift supports Brookwood in a multitude of ways.  Donations support faculty with their professional development; 550 hours were accrued in 2010-2011.  The Brookwood Fund also provides for new innovative academic initiatives, additional materials in the Williams-Parker Library, and maintains current and cutting edge technology licensing.  Campus improvements are also provided for, such as the picnic tables in front of Crozer Cafeteria, and as are new learning experiences for all of our students, like the Happily Ever After reading curriculum recently implemented in our Junior Kindergarten.  Brookwood School's ability to secure corporate support and grants depends, in large part, on the percentage of Brookwood families who contribute on an annual basis to the Brookwood Fund; thus every gift is important, no matter its size.
