FROM THE HEADMASTER...

Although this has been a short week, our school has been quite a busy place.  We have been hosting the Boys and Girls Regional Basketball Tournament since Tuesday.  Many visitors have been on our campus and we have received numerous compliments on how smoothly and organized the tournament has been run and the appearance of our campus.  Many thanks to our faculty and staff who volunteered their time to work.

Our Senior Buddies shared special treats and cards with their personal Valentine this past Wednesday.  The joy that this program has brought to so many young people over the years is immeasurable (that includes the seniors!).

Believe it or not we only have three weeks left in the third nine week grading period.  Please continue to remind your students that extra help is available from all teachers.  I believe you will find that our faculty is committed to providing additional help in order to assure success for all students.

Enrollment contracts for the 2007-2008 school year will be mailed soon. Please review the contracts and return them by March 23.  This is very important for our planning, not only with personnel, but it will also give us a sense of how many other students we can accept that are interested in attending Brookwood.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Wedding,  this week's "Warrior of the Week."

Many people including faculty and staff have been recognized throughout the year in our eNewsletter, and I will continue to give a pat on the back to many in the future.  This week I would like to call special attention to two that I believe have "flown under the radar."  Mrs. Barbara Lee has given countless hours to so many projects and to the majority of the children at Brookwood; her dedication and work ethic has been an inspiration to us all.  Mr. Spigener, our College Counselor, also has done a fantastic job with our college bound seniors.  Please take the time to review the many colleges and universities that have accepted our students listed in this week's counselor report.  It is through the efforts of our students and Mr. Spigener's persistence that we have compiled such an impressive list.  When possible please take the time to give your own "pat on the back" to both Mrs. Lee and Mr. Spigener.  Thanks to these two outstanding educators and our entire faculty as well.

Let us all be thankful for the many blessings that have been provided to us. Once again, may I say am personally thankful to the Brookwood community for the faith and positive support you have in this fabulous school.  Have a great weekend.

 27th ANNUAL BROOKWOOD AUCTION - MARCH 10

Brookwood Goes Broadway!

The 27th Brookwood Auction is right around the corner! I hope by now you have received your invitation to the Auction. As was noted on the invitation, the $100 price includes dinner, two drink tickets and three raffle tickets for the Chinese Auction. You will receive the tickets along with your paddle number when you check in the night of the Auction. Additional raffle tickets will be sent or mailed home to you next week. These additional tickets will be in sheets of four tickets that are available for $20 per sheet. You do not have to purchase these if you don't want extra tickets. We do ask that you send them back to school with your child so we may re-use them. We understand that not everyone will be able to come to the Auction, so this will allow those people to partcipate in the Chinese Auction since you don't have to be present to win. As I have mentioned before, there will be seven theme tables with 14 - 16 items and one raffle ticket will be drawn for each table. The lucky winner will take home all of the items! You will receive information about each table when the raffle tickets are sent home next week.

Again, thank you in advance for your support of the this important fundraiser for Brookwood School.

Sincerely,

Mary Nelson Notaro
