FROM THE HEADMASTER...

A Fitting Conclusion.  The boys tennis team ended the year in what we want to call the Brookwood Way-they won the state AA boys team tennis championship.  The team won with a 4-1 victory over Bulloch Academy and a 5-0 victory over Furtah Academy. Their victory means that Brookwood has won 3 state championships this year and a total of 10 over the past 4 years.

Our congratulations to the members of the team: Santiago Romo, Kelly Jackson, Thomas Muller, Zack Johnson, Russell Therrien, Jacob Lewis, William Lee, and coach Maureen Harrer.  Very few coaches begin their coaching career with a state championship, but she has done that.

Blue Hydrangeas for Graduation

If you know that you will have deep blue hydrangeas available in your yard, will you please let Ann Larson know (alarson@brookwoodschool.org).  Singletary's would use them in an arrangement in front of the podium at graduation.  We have always had blue hydrangeas, but they were very light last year.  Thanks.

The American Heart Association (AHA) would like to thank you for your support of our Jump Rope For Heart Program.  While participating in fun and heart healthy activities, Brookwood School's contribution of close to $1000 will help fight cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The dollars raised through Jump Rope For Heart will be used to support the AHA mission: to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.  This mission takes on an even more important role as we look to the future.  The AHA has made a commitment to reduce the risk of heart disease by 25% by 2010.  You are helping to reach this goal!  Thank you for making a difference.
