FROM THE HEADMASTER...

It hardly seems possible that the 2005-06 academic year will be over in less than a month.  The days ahead are filled with activities both in and out of the classroom and in the community as well as at school.  There are many competing demands on our time.  Life during the spring is truly "a great balancing act" as Dr. Seuss observes.  While there is no sure-fire solution to spring stress, I would suggest that a good sense of humor helps.  So, when things seem to be building to a crescendo of unmitigated disaster, take a deep breath, think of something funny and laugh-or at least smile.

Notice to all Athletes in Upcoming Grades 6-12

All student athletes must have a current physical on file to participate in athletics.  Mark your calendars for June 13.  Doctors and nurses will be in Flowers Hall from 5:00-6:30 issuing physicals for all that attend.  People that miss this opportunity will need to get a physical through their doctor prior to the start of the sports' season.

SIXTH GRADE SCIENCE

Sixth grade students are studying rocketry this nine weeks.  They are building their own rockets from scratch and will be launching them next week.  Each student has followed a complicated set of instructions that has taken all week to assemble the rockets.  They have done a wonderful job building and painting them.  The tentative launch date is Tuesday, April 25th at the football field.  One sixth grade class will launch at 9:20 and the other will launch at 2:30.  Please check with your child as to what period they have science.  It is a two day.
