FROM THE HEADMASTER...
The search for a new headmaster is underway. One candidate visited the campus on Thursday and another will be on campus on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Because of the short notice and timing of these two visits, we were not able to arrange opportunities for parents to meet with the candidates, but the Board's plans are to bring back some of the candidates for another visit at which time we will be sure to arrange time for parents and students to meet with them. The Board seeks input from all members of the Brookwood community in this important process.
CONGRATULATIONS
To Michael Nicholson and Anna Carroll Sims who were selected as Outstanding Actors in the recent State AA One Act Competition. There were only 5 Outstanding Actor awards given and Brookwood students garnered 2 of them.
To Ben Hopkins and Joe Reed who were selected to play in the GISA All Star football game. In the All Star the top 54 players as chosen by the coaches are divided into two teams who will play in December. Also, Coach Shane Boggs has been selected as one of the coaches for the All Star game.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
 BLOODMOBILE ON CAMPUS
The Bloodmobile will be on campus Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 8-4 near the tennis courts. Please join 20 faculty members, Brookwood students ages 16-18, and parents in giving this gift of life. Students ages 17 and 18 do not need parental consent, but we are asking them to bring a signature of parent approval. Age 16 requires a form signed by parents and the minor child. These forms are available from Ann Larson. If you would like to participate, please email alarson@brookwoodschool.org giving a time from 8-4 when it would be convenient for you to donate. You may also call the front desk.
 ITALIAN DINNER
The Class of 2008 is hosting an Italian Dinner at Brookwood School's Crozer Cafeteria on Monday, November 21, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. It should be a fun night for all with good home-cooked food and fellowship. Also, it is the same night as our first home varsity basketball games. Make your plans now to come out and support the team and enjoy "Italian Night" with family and friends. Dinner tickets are $6.00 each and will be pre-sold for the dinner. See any sophomore or contact Sheila Scott (228-5162 or sheilascott704@hotmail.com) and she will reserve your tickets. The menu will include spaghetti casserole, salad, garlic bread, tea & water. The Boosters will still have other drinks, candies, etc., available. Please make checks payable to Brookwood (Class of 2008).
 Port-A-Pit Chicken Dinner
The Brookwood Booster Club will be sponsoring a Port-A-Pit Bar-B-Que chicken dinner on Tuesday, December 6. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available from any Brookwood athlete or the Upper School Front Office. Last day to buy tickets is Tuesday, November 30. This is a great opportunity to help support our athletes and get a delicious meal at the same time (especially Troupe parents!)!
