"Words are things, and a small drop of ink,
falling like dew upon a thought,
produces that which makes thousands,
 perhaps millions,
think."

6th grade s
tudent reviews of outside reading books:  1-5 stars (1 lowest - five highest)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, by J.K. Rowling - "It was long, but kept me interested.  It was action-packed.  I give it 4 stars."

Eldest, by Christopher Paolini - "I think it was one of the best books I've ever read.  It was much better than the first one, Eragon.  I give it 5 stars."

Flush, by Carl Hiaasen - "I read Hoot by the same author and I think it was as good if not better.  It's got the same south Florida environmental theme like his adult books, but is written for a younger audience.  I give it 5 stars."

Tale of Desperaux, by Kate DiCamillo -  "It was a great adventure!  I liked the mouse and the time and place of the setting.  It is also a good book for younger readers.I give it a 4."
