Current Lesson Assignment

PSAT/SAT prep continues:
Please visit the College Board at www.collegeboard.com/satonlinecourseschool  Sophomores registered online for The Official SAT Online Course.  Brookwood purchased the license for this online program, and students will begin working through the lessons,  excercises, and practice tests.  Once registered, students can go online at home or at school.  Please take a moment and let your sophomore take you online so you can explore the College Board program and even take the "Question of the Day."  Good Luck!

Second nine weeks--Part 2, Word Processing:  Apply and Improve Keyboarding Skills

The computer is used a great deal in school and at home.  Students who can key by touch are more effective at the computer keyboard and develop other computer skills.  The second section of the keyboarding text will reinforce skills learned in section one.  In addition to reinforcement of skills, students will learn to prepare reports, memos, e-mail messages, letters, tables, and other documents.  No matter what grade a student is in, keyboarding skills will play a major role in preparing documents with ease.  I continue daily to encourage students to keep their fingers on homekeys, eyes on text, and sit up straight.  This is also a good rule to require at home.
