Mrs. Charnie R. Beverly is from Thomasville, GA and married to Max F. Beverly. They have three sons, Max ‘18, Rich ‘20, and Strong ‘22. Charnie graduated as Valedictorian from Brookwood School in 1990 and received the Headmaster’s Award. A 1994 honor graduate of Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Art History, she served as the president of Omicron Delta Kappa, the school’s Leadership Honor Society. Charnie was employed in Atlanta, GA by Marsh & McLennan in Risk Management Consulting and moved back to Thomasville with her family in 2002. She is involved with many philanthropic organizations, serves as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church, and is a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Charnie joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2007.
Mr. Travis Bryant is from Cairo, GA and married to Jeanna Bryant. They have two sons, Will ‘22 and Sam ‘26. Travis graduated from Cairo High School in 1994 and earned a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 1998. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Atlanta, GA in the Entrepreneurial Advisory Services Group. He joined Lanigan & Associates P.C. in Thomasville, GA in 1999. In 2008, Travis joined Coastal Forest Resources Company as Chief Financial Officer and began serving as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2012. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the Young Presidents’ Organization. Travis also serves on the Staff Parish Relations Committee of Cairo First United Methodist Church and is a member of the Tired Creek Lake Authority for Grady County. Travis joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2013.
Dr. Jill B. Dennis is from Bainbridge, GA and married to Miles Dennis. They have two children, Jacob ‘12 and Julianne ‘15. Jill graduated from Bainbridge Christian Academy in 1982 before earning her B. S. degree in Medical Technology from Georgia State University in 1987. She also holds a Master of Education degree (2004) in Adult and Career Education from Valdosta State University as well as a Doctor of Education degree (2011) in Adult and Career Education from Valdosta State University. She worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for 15 years before moving into higher education where she was instrumental in establishing and obtaining national accreditation for the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science program at Thomas University. Jill and her family moved to Thomasville in 1991 where she is currently the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing and Associate Professor of Medical Laboratory Science for Thomas University. She has authored articles and presented locally, regionally, and nationally on Best Practices for Online Teaching and Learning. Jill serves on the board of the Georgia Chapter of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and a member of Valdosta State University’s Adult and Career Education Advisory Committee. Jill joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2013.
Dr. Kelley Helquist is originally from Cairo, GA and married to Dr. Mark Helquist and now lives in Thomsaville. They have two sons, Hayden ‘29 and Landen ‘33. Kelley graduated as salutatorian from Brookwood in 1995 and her two brothers, Chuck ‘98 and John ‘01, and sister, Elizabeth ‘03, also graduated from Brookwood. They all attended from first through twelfth grade. Kelley received her B.S. with honors from Florida State University and attended the University of Miami School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Shands and a Cross Sectional Imaging Radiology Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Both Kelley and Mark are radiologists at Red Hills Radiology in Thomasville and Kelley is the Chairman of the Department of Radiology and member of the Archbold Medical Executive Committee. Kelley joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2016.
Mrs. Haile P. McCollum is from Greenwich, CT and married to Ben W. McCollum (class of 1992). They have two boys, Parker ‘23 and William ‘26. Haile is the granddaughter of W. H. Flowers, Jr. Haile is a 1987 graduate from The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. Haile received a a B.S. in Human Development from Vanderbilt University in 1991 and and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1994. She began her career in Savannah, GA in advertising and later became a brand manager and creative director. She moved to Thomasville in 2003 and launched Fontaine Maury, LLC. Fontaine Maury develops, documents, and launches brands, products, and services. An engaged community member, she serves as a board member on Thomasville National Bank, Archbold Foundation Board of Trustees, Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville Center for the Arts, and Main Street Thomasville. She serves as the Chair of Due South, an annual event that benefits the Thomasville Center for the Arts. Additionally, she is the Creative Director of Thom Magazine. Haile joined the Brookwood Board in 2014.
Mr. E. Vann Middleton is from Atlanta, GA and is married to Kelly H. Middleton. They have two daughters, Peyton ’19 and Taylor ’22. Vann is a 1987 graduate of The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. Vann received a BA degree in History and a BBA degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1991. He began his career as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch in Atlanta and moved to Thomasville in 2001 to become the Executive Vice President and Director of Operations at Tall Timbers Research Station & Land Conservatory. In 2013, he joined Archbold Medical Center as the President and CEO of The Archbold Foundation, where he manages the long term investable assets of the Medical Center in support of John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital and Archbold Health Services. Vann is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Thomasville and a 2011 graduate of Leadership Georgia. Active in the community, Vann currently serves as a Board Member of the Thomasville Historical Society, The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, and Thomasville – Thomas County Humane Society. Vann is Chair of the Humane Society Endowment Trust and is a member of the Vestry at All Saints Episcopal Church. Vann joined the Brookwood Board in 2016.
Mr. Russell Turner is from Pelham, GA and married to Susan K. Turner. They have three children, Garland ‘12, Anne Scott ‘16, and Hill ‘18. Russell graduated from Brookwood School in 1985 and received his B.S. in Business Administration and Home Furnishings Marketing from High Point University in 1989. After working with Lane Furniture in California, Russell and his family moved back to this area in 1992 to join his family’s expanding furniture business. He currently serves as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Russell has been involved with numerous civic organizations and is the current Chairman of the Georgia Home Furnishings Association. He serves as a Deacon for First Presbyterian Church, holds the office of Vice President for the Brookwood Booster Club, and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Russell joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2012.
Mr. Kevin Vick is from Thomasville, GA and married to Sonia B. Vick. They have three children, Anna ’20, Mollie ’20 and Turner ’22. A 1986 honor graduate of Brookwood School, Kevin was a member of two state championship football teams (’83 & ’85) and a state championship baseball team (’86). Kevin attended Mercer University on a baseball scholarship where he graduated in 1990 with a BBA in Business Management. Kevin currently serves as Vice President of Commercial Lending for Thomas County Federal. Prior to his role at the bank, Kevin spent three years with Ambassador Personnel, Inc. as Corporate Vice President of Client Relations and Business Development, thirteen years in the consumer products industry, and ten years with Flowers Foods last serving as the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing overseeing the development and brand management of Flowers Natures Own® and Cobblestone Mill® brands. In 2008, Kevin was inducted into the Thomasville-Thomas County Sports Hall of Fame and now serves as a board member for that organization. Kevin also serves on the board of the Marguerite Neel Williams Boys & Girls Club and the Thomasville-Thomas County Recreational Advisory Board. He is a member of the Thomasville YMCA Programing Committee, an Ambassador for the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce, a Deacon for the First Baptist Church of Thomasville, a volunteer youth coach for the YMCA, a Past President and current member of Brookwood’s Booster Club Board, and the current Chair of Brookwood’s Leadership Focus Committee. Kevin joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2015.
Dr. Philip Watt is from Thomasville, GA and married to Alston P. Watt. They have two children, Parker ‘19 and Christopher ‘17. The son of Mercer and Vance Watt, Philip attended Brookwood from the school’s opening in 1970 until graduation in 1979. Philip received a B.A. in psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South in 1983, an M.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1988, and a Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health in 1994. He was a Resident in General Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center from 1988 to 1993 and a Resident in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Hopkins from 1993 to 1996. Philip served as Director and Co-Founder of the North Luangwa Conservation Project’s Rural Health Care Program in the Mpika District of Zambia, where he and Alston lived for 18 months, and prior to returning to Thomasville, he held various positions with The Task Force for Child Survival and Development. He was on faculty at Emory University, serving as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of International Health at the Rollins School of Public Health and as a teacher in the School of Public Health, the School of Medicine, and the undergraduate college. A civic leader, Philip has served on the board of a number of organizations, including Tall Timbers Research Station and Land Conservancy, Florida State University Foundation, the Archbold Foundation, and Thomasville Landmarks. He also served on the Dean’s Council for the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and the Dean’s Alumni Advisory Council at the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He currently serves on the Board of the Brookwood Endowment and the Georgia Board of Natural Resources. Philip is an investment consultant at Southeast Asset Advisors, Inc. and serves on the board of directors of Conifer Advisors. Philip joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2001.
Dr. Craig Yokley is from Birmingham, AL and is married to Alicia Yokley. They have three sons, Vincent ‘19, Nathan ‘21, and Samuel ‘27. He graduated as Valedictorian from W.A. Berry High School (Birmingham), in 1982. Craig attended Vanderbilt University on an athletic scholarship and was named an Academic All-American in Football in 1985. He graduated from Vanderbilt with honors in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering before attending Emory University School of Medicine as a Woodruff Fellow, receiving his M.D. degree in 1991. Craig completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology as Chief Resident in 1996 followed by a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He and his family moved to Thomasville in 2008 where he practices Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Archbold Medical Center. Craig joined the Brookwood Board of Directors in 2013.
