Jonathan (Class of ’02) returned to his alma mater to join the teaching faculty of Brookwood in 2013. Instilled with a love of English and learning from his time at Brookwood, he now teaches English literature to ninth and tenth grade students, as well as teaching Debate and Speech.
Prior to joining Brookwood’s faculty, Jonathan taught two years of literature in Bangkok, Thailand from 2007 to 2009. Upon returning home, he pursued a Masters of Divinity through Asbury Theological Seminary, while working as a music minister, college admissions counselor, and in various other jobs. Outside of school, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife Cortni, their Japanese chin and pug, listening to all kinds of music, especially “screamo” as his students call it, reading philosophy and theology, playing guitar, and trading stocks. He loves being part of the Brookwood family and teaching in the place that sparked his thirst for knowledge.
