Golf

Students in grades six through twelve are invited to join the Brookwood Golf team, where players in grades six through eight play 8-hole games and Varsity players, in grades nine through twelve, play 18-hole games.

Practices are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Glen Arven Country Club.

The Brookwood golf team has advanced to the state tournament every year for the past ten years.

    Shane Boggs

    Shane Boggs is Brookwood’s head football coach and has 19 years of football coaching experience. Highlights include an undefeated state championship season in 2007 and a semifinal appearance in 2006. Prior to Brookwood, he was a part of two state championships as an assistant and defensive coordinator. Coach Boggs was named Big Bend Coach of the year for all classifications and head coach of Florida in the 2010 Border Wars All-Star Game as well as the head coach of the 2012 TN/VA All Star Game. In January of 2013, Coach Boggs returned to Brookwood as head coach and teaches Finance and Conditioning. The common thread through all his duties is a desire to teach students and athletes the relationship between investment and return. Shane and his wife Christa have three children, Kendall (‘23), Morgan (‘25), and Seth (‘27). He loves spending time with his family, playing golf, and cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers!
