Warrior Basketball is the highlight of our winter season. Students in grades five through twelve may participate in Youth, 6th Grade, Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball teams for both boys and girls.
Bill grew up in the small, north Georgia town of Greensboro and graduated from Nathanael Greene Academy. From there, Bill traveled across the state and was a cum laude graduate from the University of West Georgia. Bill then went on and received his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Piedmont College in Athens, Georgia.
There was never any doubt where Bill would begin his career. He felt the need to give back to the school that gave so much to him for 14 years. Bill spent the first six years of his educational career at his alma mater, Nathanael Greene Academy. He taught middle and high school social studies and was the Head Varsity Football, Boys Varsity Basketball, and Track coaches.
Bill has now been apart of the Brookwood faculty since the fall of 2013. While at Brookwood, he has taught middle and upper school social studies. These subjects in include 7th grade World Geography and Culture, 8th grade United States History, and 9th grade Economics. Bill’s role also includes coaching many sports such as football, basketball, and track and field.
While not at Brookwood, you can find Bill spending time with his beautiful wife, two adorable daughters (Braelyn ‘30 and Hannah Kate), or working out either at Brookwood or at the YMCA.
Mr. Foy has been a part of the Brookwood family since August 2015, after spending seven years at Thomas University, where he studied on a soccer scholarship and headed the men’s reserve soccer program. Mr. Foy is originally from Runcorn, England. He teaches environmental science and physics, is the cross country director, soccer director, head boys and girls varsity soccer coach, Middle School basketball assistant coach, assistant in the counseling department, and an assistant in the Academic Resource Center. In his spare time, Mr. Foy enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Mark Humphries has been at Brookwood since the 2000-2001 academic year. Before he came to Brookwood he taught at Lenoir City Schools in Lenoir City, Tn for 7 years. Mark graduated from Cairo High School in 1986 and went to Maryville College in Maryville, Tn. There he earned a BA degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. He also played four years of football, was named team captain his senior year and voted best Athlete his senior year. Mark currently teaches geometry, pre-calculus, and statistics. He also coaches football and junior-pro basketball. Mark enjoys teaching/coaching, working outside, cooking, fishing, exercising, and Bible study and prayer. Mark and his wife, Rhonda, have two children, Anthony ‘16, and Abigail ‘23.
